Hey, I am a 16 year old highschool kid and I need to interview a current or a retired NFL referee. I am doing a project in my highschool class we are supposed to pick a carrer that we would like to do when we get older and then write a research paper about it. If you could please contact me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
I have an unusual request that I was hoping you could assist me with.
Quick summary: My brother volunteers as an assistant coach on his 10 year old son’s football team. Unfortunately, a teammate was very seriously injured during one of their games. He was knocked unconscious during a routine play. Due to the serious nature of the injury, the game was immediately cancelled and an ambulance rushed him to the hospital. After several weeks, thank goodness, he made a full recovery.
We would like to show the video replay to several referees and get their “100%-off-the-record” opinions as to whether this was a clean hit or an illegal hit. There are no legal issues pending, this is simply a case of trying to determine what actually happened.
If you could offer any suggestions, I would sincerely appreciate it. I was hoping to contact a small handful of referees but don’t know where to start. E-mail addresses? Web sites?
Our Men’s Association at St. John’s UMC on Proctor Road in Sarasota, FL is interested in having a retired NFL Referee speak at one of our Saturday morning monthly breakfasts. The time frame would be 20 minutes to one half hour with some questions. We are trying to get some of the younger men (High School and College age) to attend our breakfasts and men’s group. We believe the insight of a Referee would be of immense interest to young and old alike.
