Week 6 of the NFL kicks off tonight in Chicago with John Parry handling the Giants at the Bears. We’re still trying to find the rest of the assignments for this weekend, but you can see what we’ve found so far over on the week 6 page.

John Parry has been assigned to the first preseason NFL game this season when the Dolphins and Cowboys play on Sunday night.
Due to some odd circumstances in the past few years, this is the first time a regular crew will be handling this game. As reported by FootballZebras.com:
Last year, an official from the Lingerie Football League headed a crew while the union officials were locked out. In 2011, the game was cancelled because the players had not resolved their impasse with the league in time to stage the game. And, this year, the replay officials are still negotiating a contract, but they have not been locked out or gone on strike.

In watching today’s games, I saw two calls in the Indianapolis/Baltimore game that were not called by John Parry‘s crew and impacted the game.
With 13 minutes left in the game, Flacco completed a pass, but was contacted by Mathis in the helmet, which should have added 15 yards to the end of the play. It was not called, although the pass was completed, it was not a major impact on the game.
Worse then this was the missed false start by the Ravens with under 3 minutes to go. The Ravens offensive line committed the false start, which wasn’t called, and on that play Flacco tossed an interception, virtually icing the game for the Colts.
Any other missed calls change games today?
