ATL @ CAR is during Week 11, not Week 12, so why is Anderson off in Week 11? Does he have an assignment for Week 10?

Gerardo, I have made a few mistakes and have corrected them on each week’s page. WALT ANDERSON: Wk 8 is at Arizona, Wk 9 is at New England, Wk 10 is OFF, Wk 11 is at Carolina. And Wk 12 is still unknown. I apologize. This is honest and confirmed.

Heading into Week 12, Walt Anderson will have yet to officiate any prime-time games — SNF, MNF or TNF.

There are only two tentatively-scheduled SNF games from Week 12 onward that he is eligible for: DAL@NYG (Week 12) and DAL@PHI (Week 15). He is ineligible for DEN@KC (Week 13), NE@SD (Week 14) and SEA@ARI (Week 16).

If he gets assigned a Monday Night game, it will either be MIA@NYJ (Week 13), NO@CHI (Week 15) or DEN@CIN (Week 16). He is ineligible for BAL@NO (Week 12) and ATL@GB (Week 14).

He is still eligible for all remaining Thursday games from Week 12 onward (including Thanksgiving).

JOE PLATANIA, if you’re reading this, there are only three referees that are eligible for the BAL@NO Monday night game: Leavy, Morelli & Torbert. The former two are eligible provided that neither gets assigned the CIN@NO game in Week 11.

Here is the list of eligible referees for each Week 12 game. Keep in mind that we have yet to receive a head-up regarding Anderson or Cheffers from Mark or “Opposite of Lorenzo,” respectively.

If a referee is NOT listed for a particular game, that referee is **NOT ELIGIBLE**.

KC@OAK (TNF): Anderson, Boger, Morelli, Steratore & Vinovich; Parry unknown.

CLE@ATL: Allen, Cheffers, Coleman, Corrente, Parry, Steratore & Vinovich.

DET@NE: Blakeman, Cheffers, Coleman, Corrente, Hochuli, McAulay, Parry, Steratore, Torbert, Triplette, Vinovich & Wrolstad.

NYJ@BUF: Anderson, Boger, Cheffers, Leavy, Morelli, Torbert, Triplette, Vinovich & Wrolstad.

TB@CHI: Anderson, Boger, Cheffers, Coleman, Corrente, Hochuli, Leavy, Parry, Steratore & Triplette.

JAX@IND: Allen, Blakeman, Corrente, Hochuli, Leavy, Vinovich & Wrolstad; Coleman unknown *

GB@MIN: Allen, Anderson, Blakeman, Boger, Coleman, Leavy, McAulay, Morelli, Triplette & Vinovich.

TEN@PHI: Boger, Hochuli, McAulay, Morelli, Torbert & Wrolstad.

CIN@HOU: Allen, Cheffers, Coleman, Corrente, McAulay, Morelli &Steratore.

STL@SD: Anderson, Cheffers, Coleman, Hochuli, Leavy, Parry, Steratore & Wrolstad.

ARI@SEA: Allen, Blakeman, Cheffers, Corrente, McAulay, Steratore & Triplette.

MIA@DEN: Blakeman, Hochuli, Morelli, Torbert, Triplette, Vinovich & Wrolstad.

WAS@SF: Allen, Anderson, Blakeman, Leavy, McAulay, Morelli, Parry, Torbert, Triplette & Wrolstad.

DAL@NYG (SNF): Allen, Anderson, Coleman, Leavy & Triplette.

BAL@NO (MNF): Leavy. Morelli & Torbert.

    NOTES:

Carolina & Pittsburgh are the last two teams to have their bye.

Each referee has had at least one bye. The following referees have yet to have a second bye: Allen, Anderson, Boger, Cheffers, Steratore, Torbert, Vinovich & Wrolstad. Anderson & Boger did not get their first bye until Week 10.

    * I’m not sure if Coleman will get this game, as he officiated the earlier meeting (IND@JAX) in Week 3.

Miyaishi was wrong and David Herrera was right on the eligible list for BAL-NO… We’ve just gotten word that, for the second time this year, BILL LEAVY will be working a game involving the Ravens. He did the tight game at Cleveland in Week 3… Glad to be back; hope you all had a good week while we were on the bye!

Interesting. This is Vinovich’s second Sunday Night game (he did BAL@PIT in Week 9), and I assumed, as did David Herrera, that he was not eligible.

WOW, I did not expect Vinovich to get a second Sunday night assignment. I was expecting either Allen, Coleman or Triplette. It now looks like two referees will not get assigned a Sunday night game (Anderson is one of them — see my post from Week 13).

It still meets the six week rule (or five) and not working the same times. This has happened for years. there were some refs in previous years that did not get a SNF (or multiple SNF) or MNF game…you can look this up. Thus, it should not be a criteria in determining who works what games.

Another thing in the past at least one crew got only one bye week instead of two…so do not be surprised to see if only one crew get one by week this year…This is something you can look up as well.

Last year, I believe every referee except one was assigned a SCHEDULED SNF game. Judging by the schedule, it was Blandino or whomever schedules the officials to give each crew a Sunday Night, Monday Night, and Thursday game. Now some didn’t work any because their game was flexed out (I think it was McAulay who had the GB @ NYG game which was flexed out for KC @ DEN) and of course week 17 SNF isn’t known until the week prior. In this case, both of Vinovich’s assignments have been scheduled for Sunday Night as thhat window has had no flexes thus far.

TONY CORRENTE will be in Foxborough for DET@NE. Mark Steinkerchner (from Ron Torbert’s crew) is listed as the line judge in the Patriots’ flipcard (see line below), so it looks like Torbert will be one of two referees to have a bye this week.

Here is the UPDATED eligibility list, with the assumptions that Cheffers is headed to San Diego and Torbert will be one of two referees who will be off this week, due to one of the latter’s crew members filling in on Corrente’s crew:

KC@OAK (TNF): Morelli or Steratore; Parry unknown.
CLE@ATL: Allen, Coleman, Parry or Steratore.
DET@NE: Corrente (confirmed via the Patriots’ flip card).
    NYJ@BUF: Morelli, Triplette or Wrolstad.
TB@CHI: Coleman, Parry, Steratore or Triplette.
JAX@IND: Hochuli (confirmed via Sporting Becky).
GB@MIN: Allen, Blakeman, Coleman, McAulay, Morelli or Triplette.
TEN@PHI: Boger (confirmed via the Titans’ game release).
CIN@HOU: Allen, Coleman, McAulay, Morelli or Steratore.
    STL@SD: Cheffers? (confirmation unknown).
ARI@SEA: Allen, Blakeman, McAulay, Steratore or Triplette.
MIA@DEN: Blakeman, Morelli, Triplette or Wrolstad.
    WAS@SF: Anderson (confirmed via Mark).
DAL@NYG (SNF): Vinovich (confirmed via ESPN Dallas).
BAL@NO (MNF): Leavy (confirmed via Joe Platania).

Per the Raiders’ flipcard (see link below), JOHN PARRY is headed to the “Black Hole” for KC@OAK. So, it looks like he will be the one referee who gets two Thursday assignments this season.
